It was our first time attending Inman Connect in New York and boy, were we impressed!

Inman Connect is where more than 3,500 CEOs of top real estate franchises, technology entrepreneurs, marketing executives, agents, brokers and executives from top-tier financial service companies converge.

Not only was this conference about connecting with everyone from industry vets to real estate new-kids-on-the-block, it was about learning from experts through sessions and labs and getting a sneak-peek at the newest tools and technology available to build a profitable business.

Conference Agenda: Learning Labs

The conference agenda was deep! Four days of sessions focusing on agents (as a group), brokers (as a group), CEOs, technology, general sessions and learning labs.

We were thrilled to be asked to be a part of the learning labs, but before we presented, we wanted to attend a few chats.

A particular learning lab that stood out was Leighton Dees’ talk. He is the Chairman & CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Generations and he spoke about the ‘7 daily habits of a top-producing brokerage‘. Leighton talked about leadership and provided tactical advice on managing and growing a business.

We found this an incredibly inspiring talk that could have impact far beyond real estate. His concepts could appeal to a variety of businesses, as we’re all entrepreneurs, and could benefit from being better leaders and adopting better business habits.

Our Learning Lab: Overlooked Efficiency Gains

Sasha and Tracy took the stage for about an hour to talk about overlooked efficiency gains. This included how to automate your back office and integrate your business operations with your agent platform.

Sasha and Tracy

Sasha dove deep into real estate trends, like the next generation of agents and brokers, ‘the cloud’ to automated intelligence and platforms that facilitate flow. She touched on understanding your workflow and why automating tools and integrations could free up so much time for a brokerage.

Tracy presented a couple of case studies to highlight the amount of data re-entry required by some brokerages using legacy systems, and pointed out the excellent systems available today to mitigate such efforts and costs associated with performing them. She wowed by demonstrating the ease of our integration with dotloop.

It all added up to help educate brokerages on how to automate their back office to give them more time to do what’s important.

Sponsors & Hosts

We’d like to give a shout-out to Marriott Marquis, New York, who hosted the event, and to all the sponsors that participated; a few listed below.

In particular, we’d like to single out dotloop. Dotloop was a sponsor of Inman Connect but they’re also an integration-partner of ours. They ran an incredible week of learning labs and we were humbled and grateful to be included in the lineup!

Closing Remarks on Inman Connect

Our first time at Inman Connect exceeded our expectations. Reconnecting with current friends and clients, as well as meeting so many new, was exactly what we hoped for.

If you’re wondering whether you should make the effort to attend Inman Connect in 2018, we’re here to tell you, there’s no better place to be if you work in real estate to seek out tools, tips, and connect with like-minded, knowledgeable colleagues. We’ll be back for #icny18!
